Signs of destruction in Hampi

Hampi is scattererd with half burnt structures – buildings that were destroyed by invaders, leaving only a few traces behind as reminders of the glorious structures that once stood there. Posting some snapshots.

    Isn’t that spelt’ Zenana’? Great shot that, vittala temple one which is second from last. Looks straight out of an Amar Chitra Katha. 🙂

      Thanks, and as for the spelling, I think it’s zanana as far as I remember. Anyway, it’s not an English word so the right spelling is sort of controversial anyway.
